Tim Planche (Prof, MD) is a senior clinical lecturer in microbiology, honorary consultant and clinical lead for microobiology at SGUL. His main research focuses are in hospital acquired bacterial infections, particularly those caused by Clostridium difficile and paediatric infections.
Mike Sharland (Prof, MD) co-leads the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Research Group at SGUL and his principal research interest is in the area of optimising the best use of antimicrobials in children in the context of antimicrobial resistance.
Paul Heath (Prof, MD) co-leads the Paediatric Infectious Diseases Research Group at SGUL and his research interests are in the epidemiology of vaccine-preventable diseases and in perinatal and neonatal infections .
